I live in beautiful Las Vegas...road rage is a daily ritual for some people. Make sure you have a good cup of joe before you drive in the 702. hahaha

Driving down to Cali for the Long Beach Toyota Grand Prix. Maps...check, cameras...check, contacts...check, Midori Travel Journal...check. My friend Misa in Japan sent MD journal w a bunch of refills to me about 2 months ago and I just started using it. I like the leather cover, but being able to refill it is key. You can archive your trips and use them for reference later.

We were supposed to come home mid June or July, but the air and hotel prices could pay our mortage for about 2 months. The main reason we want to come home is to EAT GOOD FOOD, ummm sorry  I mean to see my beautiful and loving family... so they can pay for my food. We pushed our trip back to August, and lo and behold, there it was...$400 air tickets with a big name company, not a ATA wannabee company. The hotel rates are way cheaper too. Im glad because I wasn't looking forward to paddling home with my kids screaming "paddle dad paddle...'ekahi, 'elua, 'ekolu!!!" phewww...i can put away the koa.

If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?

Probably Hawaii in the 60's or 70's, because of the empty surf spots. Of course I wouldn't be surfing Walls, probably Sandy's, Bowls, Kaisers, ohh man 3's on an empty day- that would be pure heaven.

If you're getting one, how are you planning on spending your tax refund?

We got a bunch of trips to do in the second half of the year...Hawaii, Vancouver- Canada, and Japan in December. and a sprinkle in California here and there. Can't wait for Hawaii- just to eat is worth the plane ticket. Me and my brother at Side Street, I think we ate at Ono Hawaiian Food the next day, and of course a trip back home wouldnt be complet without stopping at Zippys on Nimitz Hwy. Im hungry!
